long time, no read - Willows Farm Pumpkin Festival

A BIG fat long awaited helloooo everyone!
Sorry, I know it has taken literally for-ever for me to get my butt in gear a type up a blog post, 4 months to be exact πŸ™ˆ

I've got several things I've wanted to talk about, but since I started my not so new anymore job in June, finding the time to squeeze it in amongst family time, work time and full-time vlogging has really been hard. 

BUT today I bring you a new shiny post woo!
So as some of you may be aware and all my mummy readers will be, it's half term and yesterday I took the day off work as we were due to go to the Sacconejolys book tour in Milton Keynes. But sadly Harley was just not up to it ☹️(as in he just did not want to go) and I wasn't going to stand by and waste a days holiday.

 So I decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Willows farm, somewhere they have been begging me to go since we went over a year ago.
I will add that video in at the end for you πŸ˜‰
Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE Willows, but it has become a little pricey to go every so often so I like to try and mix it up going in different seasons at different times of the year, as they have different themed activities going on.

This time we went to the pumpkin festival which we have never done and it was tons of fun. The kids get to go to the pumpkin patch and find their perfect pumpkin, you can also do carving there, but we decided not to and bring ours home.
The kids favourite bits were defiantly the shows and meeting Peter, Nutkin and Lily for some big snuggly cuddles.

We did so much outdoors stuff this time we didn't step a foot into the indoors play area at all!

OMG like seriously, I have felt like I've been NON-STOP this week! To say I feel exhausted would be an understatement 😴 
Thing is I feel super bad in terms of vlogging & blogging, it just feels like I have no real dedication time to them 😒
I HAVE been keeping up with the vlogs, but they feel suuuuuper boring and me anyway, BUT it's daily life which isn't always that interesting or pretty.
Let me get you up to date.
So if you didn't already know I started a new job as a wages clerk, meaning more hours & more days! It's a good thing tho because I now no longer work Sundays & I also work in school hours. I mean I only get to so one school run a week, that dose make me a little sad, but I finish work when the kids finish school so we can literally go out do whatever, without having to worry about going to work later on.
This week was my second week at my store and the other wages clerk (who is also quite new) left me to do it cllllll on my own. I've never felt so stressed/the pressure in all my life! But I'm happy to say I got through it in one piece. It's given me confidence in knowing I can do it, but I know come payday things are NOT going to be perfect 😩 But honestly, what can I do being new with barely any help!
Anyway, I'm sorry about the lack of blogs & vlogs, it obviously is because my whole routine has just been turned upside-down, inside-out! Please be assured, I will be fitting things in where and when I can ❤️
Blogging & vlogging are something I enjoy as much as being a mum, so considering giving up or condensing down is just not an option for me!
If any of you guys are wages clerks + bloggers/vloggers out there, please tell me it gets better πŸ™πŸΌ

What happened?!

So, it's been a while since I blogged (sorry about that) BUT everything these last two week was just super duper hectic mania!
Incase you didn't already know, we have been in...

It was the best 5 days of my life. Words cannot even begin to describe just how magical that place really is.
We flew over on the 29th May in the early hours of the morning giving us pretty much the whole first day there. As I was still in training for my new job the week before we went away, which was Mon-Fri, I had to squeeze in any packing time when and where I could. Hence the busy week before and the lack of blogs.
But I'm back and ready to hit you with some of that Disney magic!

First and foremost we have had this holiday booked since October 2016 and the kids did not know a thing!

Let me tell you now never ever get a cab from the airport to the hotel, save yourself the pain of 90 euros! Anyway, our lovely, expensive, cab man took us to our hotel, which was the Disney Sequoia Lodge. Unfortunately we couldn't get into our hotel room until 3pm, but we had our park tickets so ditched our luggage (in a safe secure room of course) and headed off the the parks.
The first park we visited was the Walt Disney Studios one, where we rid the Slinky dog, Crushes coaster (the kids were TERRIFIED of this) and the flying carpets. 
Then we found Princess Belle, but the queue was an hour and 45 mins long 😡 the lady advised us to come back the next day, so that gave us a plan of action for day two. But before we left to check into the hotel we bumped into Pluto!

After a quick power nap we all headed to the main park where we had a wander round, went on a few rides then ended up in front of the castle just in time for the lights show, which OMG made my hairs stand on end. It was beautiful and spectacular! 😍

2017 Calendar March | Throwback Thursday

So for todays throwback, I thought I'd share with you all the photos I took of Ella for the month of March on the family calendar. These were taken back in November 2016.
Some of these, in fact most, are unedited. I'm pretty slow when it comes to editing, but I also don't do a major amount. I'm all about keeping it as close to the original and making it a bit brighter and more colourful if need be.

You may be able to tell the difference between the bottom two, and that is about as far as I go with editing. 
(and it just so happens the bottom one was the one I went for for March)

Meal Plan Mondays 🍽 | Week 10 🐎

Welcome, take a seat and see what we eat πŸ˜‰
I am one VERY busy bee at the mo, juggling vlogging, blogging, family life and work! So please, if I seem a bit short a sweet it's because I want to get this up for you, but I'm so soooooo busy right now 😴 But of course I'm not going to let my meal plan squad down πŸ’ͺ🏼

Omelette, cheese and chorizo for the fillings. I call this the 'pizza omelette'

A nice easy one of sweet chilli salmon with some of our face firecracker rice.

Some tasty Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers with homemade sweet potato chips.

Nothing compared to last weeks meal, but just as tasty was some good old chicken in a bag, sticky BBQ flavour, served up with some wholegrain rice.

Naughty pizza party, but slightly more behaved that usual was a Papa Johns large (normally XXL) all the meats pizza, with garlic sticks on the side.

I had a tasty little Nandos, I had been out at ASCOT all day, so 1. there was no way to cook, 2. I was no way cooking anyway haha. I did go for something different this time however. I had chicken in pitta, med, with peri peri chips.

After the weekend we had, there was, again, no way I'd be cooking. So we order in some Chinese food, and this time it was the right chicken πŸ˜‰ ....Matt ordered me the wrong one last time πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ

How was your week? I also quit the gym LOL. So I've been super laid back with food and not working any of it off, whoops, but I feel ok about that.

Day at ASCOT! 🐎

Hello guys how are we all?
Hope you've all enjoyed your weekend, I know I have πŸ˜‰
Incase you wasn't already aware this weekend I attended ASCOT races on Saturday 13th and omg it was SO fun! I really, really enjoyed my day.
I'd never ever been to anything like this before, so I had no idea what to expect, but I really enjoyed myself. It was my first time betting and of course I didn't have a clue what I was doing, but I was only putting on £1-£2 at a time so I felt quite sensible, even tho I did have quite a bit to drink. 
I did notice how some people could REALLY get into the whole betting scene, but luckily it wasn't for me so I was able to stay within my means. It was the whole atmosphere that had me sold, and luckily we had some sunshine and warm weather.
Although I didn't log much, it will always be a day to remember. Here are some snaps and a vlog 😘

Here's a fun little fact about me and Matt, we have actually known each other since we were in Nursery! (age 3/4) We also both attended the same primary school and secondary, but we never actually spoke throughout the whole of secondary school. He was one of the 'cool kids' and I joined late (after moving away to Northampton for three years from Yr5-Yr7) and became a bit of a 'misfit' and very rarely showed upπŸ™ˆ 
But back to primary school, are you ready for this super cuteness overload?!

Meal Plan Mondays 🍽 | Week 9 πŸ’†πŸ»

Hey everyone, welcome back, yes I know it's Tuesday πŸ™ˆ sorry about that! I honestly remembered to blog...then...forgot. So welcome to another 'Meal Plan Monday' with a Tuesday twist! Hehe 😊

Matt cooked a delish dish of pasta, with southern fried chicken pieces and hot dog in a Dolmio tomato and chilli sauce.

My favourite Linda McCartney veggie sausages with a mix of potato and sweet potato mash.

I was feeling a bit ill and just could not be bothered to cook, so we had chip shop take away which was perfect as chips are my goto food when I feel ill. Needless to say all I had was a plate of chips lol.

Now I was feeling really quite proud of the little meal I produced. I thought it looked super healthy, well for that it was.
My 'healthy' enchiladas! Made with quorn chicken, tomato passata/seasoning and wholegrain rice wrapped up in weight watchers wholegrain and quinoa wraps. It was actually really tasty...not to big myself up on anything πŸ˜‰

My friend was over from 6:30pm doing my hair...she finished at 10pm! SO we had good old Nandos take away, so worth it!

Feeling lazy again, so we got in a Tesco take away pizza with all the usual topping, bacon, spicy beef and pepperoni. And of course some garlic bread on the side.

I got off my butt and made the effort to cook us up some tasty cod fish cakes with sweet potato mash.

Time to crack down on portion control again now I've gotten bored of the gym, I mean there is no point in forcing myself to go or I just won't enjoy ☹️ so best watch what I eat!

Meal Plan Mondays 🍽 | Week 8 🍚

So this week started off so well, I was so proud go how well we was doing...allllll until the weekend hit πŸ™ˆ
I'm gonna keep it short and sweet this week as it's bank holiday and I'm feeling super lazy and tired, sorry folks.

Sweet chilli salmon with none other than firecracker rice, because rice is niiiiice.

Good old cheese and chorizo omelette, on it own.

Quorn swedish meatballs in tomato and basil passata with spaghetti.

Southern fried quorn chicken burgers served with homemade potato/sweet potato chips.

Tesco stone baked chicken and bacon pizza with good old garlic bread and mozzarella sticks.

A nice greasy tasty Chinese take away, which Matt actually got my order wrong.
(a sign we shouldn't of had it clearly)

Another take away, this time curry, but so so so ALWAYS worth it πŸ˜‹

So my meat free week plan started off well, but like always, ended with a take away πŸ˜‚
Matt is actually cooking dinner tonight, right now intact as I'm blogging!

Lets talk anxiety! πŸ’­

Hey guys, so today I'm going to talk about what I personally feel are my biggest anxieties. Some of you may feel the same or have similar and if you do please, pretty please share you coping ways with me because sometimes it can be so overwhelming.
Situations that make me feel anxious are when/or if I pronounce someones name wrong or a word, especially in front of someone who knows how to pronounce it. I then become all hot and flustered, try to laugh it off, then when alone feel like a complete idiot for not knowing. Eventually this feeling goes away, usually the next day, but can come back to haunt me randomly in a couple of months or even years. My mind will be like "hey remember when you said this instead of that" πŸ™„ and I'm just like yup, not going to forget how to say it now!
This next one could be the most common one I'm not sure, but it's time keeping. I have to arrive early or it feels like the wold is going to end, no joke. I HATE being late. It makes me feel like it will go against me for the rest of my life, say if I arrived 5 minutes late to work or an appointment, even getting the kids out to school on time in the morning we have to leave at a certain time or it becomes all doom and gloom, rushing around panicking that the door will be closed before we get there. However that is never the case. We get there, the door isn't closed or I have 10 minutes to spare at work.
Now this next one I guess is sort of related to time keeping, it's not having a plan for the day. It can really throw me and I end up going into a 'funny mood' where I just don't know what to do with myself, because I have nothing to do or  I haven't done what I felt I should've done by a certain time. I can shut myself away from the world and just go blank, even if I really don't want to, it can't be helped.
Now I'm not diagnosed with anxiety, but I am diagnosed with cyclothymia which is a type of mood disorder that is similar to bipolar, but in no way as severe. I do wonder if that's why sometimes it feels so much more overwhelming than other times.
I know a lot of people don't like to talk about these things in person, but if you ever do, I'm here 😊 I find it easier to open up to someone I don't personally know and not in person.
Anyway, that's it for this post, I hope it may help at least one person knowing they are not alone in these situation/feelings.

Growing up 'fussy'

Today I'm going to talk 'fussy' eating, more specifically when I was growing up because I was a NIGHTMARE. Although I'm still quite fussy now, I feel I have come a long way from good old smiley faces and nuggets....YUM, but say baked beans or spaghetti hoops were touching it would be an instant no-no. I just could not eat it if it touched my food πŸ˜‚ or peas/sweetcorn even tho there's no sauce to them.
Back in the good old days (sorry how old are you ChelseaπŸ™„) my typical dinner would consist of either the frozen potato variety e.g waffles, chips crinkle/straight/french. Then for the 'meaty' part either something like chicken nuggets, sausage or fish fingers.

Yup, no vegetables would touch these lips, still not really today either. I'm happy to try, but 9/10 it's the texture I just can't stomach 😷 
My mum used to make me Heniz macaroni and cheese out the tin and I used to swallow it whole πŸ˜‚ 

Another regular dinner would be rashers of bacon with chips, which we actually used to be able to order in a certain pub for old fussy pants...then, one day, they stopped ☹️
I'm pretty sure the first time I tried pizza I was around the age of 11 and I'm sure I still did not like sauces like ketchup/bbq (which bbq I now LOVE...and pizza ovbs)
Although I'm still a fussy pants, my variety has defiantly widened. I love meals like lasagne or spag bowl, roast dinners (parsnips only) salmon, omelettes, enchiladas, wraps, tacos, the list goes on!
I'm also happy to say I can eat my food even if something I don't like has touched it!
I'm not a fan of lumps or crunchy cold textures, ew.

Meal Plan Mondays 🍽 | Week 7 πŸ”

Welcome back after a week off meal Mondays, reason? Well it was easter/bank holiday weekend so all got a bit pushed to the side, blogging and eating πŸ™ˆ obviously lots of room for BBQ and chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate πŸ˜‹ 
But anyway we are back with last weeks dinners, so here's what we had.

A long awaited curry take away, mmmm one of my favourites and so very worth it!

We actually had dinner cooked for us by Matts mum. As she has her new place all set up and recently got her new dining table she cooked us a super lovely turkey roast. It was sooooo tasty! Thanks Sue 😊

I cooked us good old Linda McCartney veggie sausages with cheesy mash.

We tried out quorn chicken in wraps, seasoned with ghost chilli and added wholegrain rice. The chicken was actually really nice, the texture was my main concern, but it was nice a real chicken!

We had a naught XXL Papa Johns pizza, all the meats of course with pizza garlic sticks πŸ™ˆ

Date night! We headed up the Mop & Brooms for din dins, but sadly my burger was dry..AFπŸ’” BUT my sweet potato chips were yum.

Still longing for that tasty burger, I cooked Linda McCartney (again) mozzarella burgers with homemade potato/sweet potato fries. It satisfied my burger hunger.

I'm planning on being really sort of meat free with week with only veggie options or fish, fingers crossed I can stick to it!

Dinosaur Golf ⛳️ | Easter Holiday Fun

So the two weeks are up! Poof gone, over, just like that ☹️
Not going to lie it's great to be back in routine and able to get down the gym (after two weeks off!) but I miss my little best friends already.
Good thing Harley still has half days Monday - Wednesday until September when he starts reception...STOP.
Anyway I think the kids would agree that we all had a super fun packed half term, and this post is about what we got up to on the last day.
If you haven't already guessed we visited Dinosaur Safari mini golf.
It's located just off the A1 and was £28 for a family ticket. My mum was supposed to come, but unfortunately got sick and couldn't make it. So it ended up being just me, Ella and Harley.

We left around 1:30pm, which actually turned out the be perfect as it wasn't that busy at all. It took us roughly and hour to get round the 18 hole course.
This was only the kids second time here, but Harley especially had got the hang of it...well sort of.

If Matt had come he probably would have been all competitive, but me and the kids aren't like that πŸ˜‰

All I can say is roll on May half term when we are off on a SUPER DUPER exciting adventure, which the kids know nothing about! It's going to be awwwwwsome!

13 Reasons Why | Lets Talk TV

Welcome back, I hope you had a great easter weekend 😊
Today I thought we'd talk about my latest TV obsession and quite possibly everyone else's!

13 Reasons Why ▶️

I'm about to start episode 7 so if you haven't got as far as me, STOP READING NOW!!
I can't promise there won't be any spoilers from this point.

Now first things first, I can't be the only one who assumes Clays tape is so obviously the last one and I mean why is he even on there?!
Is it because Hannah knew Clay would react and out the others? Like when he took the picture of Tyler and sent it out as Tyler did to Hannah and Courtney. Or is it because even tho he loved her, he never noticed her cries for help?
And what is the deal with Justin and Jessica and this party? I know I will get there eventually, but it has been mentioned a few times now and the curiosity grows within me.
I'm getting the impression after ep 6 that Alex is going to join Clay in his little crusade, but what is the deal with the 'yes sir' towards his father? Anyone else pick up on that?

Seriously tho this whole TV show is so moving, I'd love to know how they plan on making a second series, if they do that is.

12.04.2017 | What I Ate Wednesday

As it's the second week into the easter holidays I'm letting myself have cheeky little lie-ins, so breakfast was a little later than usual at 8:30am.
I had Tesco honey and almond granola with unsweetened almond milk, four strawberries cut into four, a coffee and my little jam jar glass of water.

1:00pm I FINALLY sat down to lunch after heading out with the kids to get some nice fresh rolls for our lunch. I had a toasted panini with chicken and light mayo,  red/green grapes, mango Muller light greek style yogurt, my Women's Best BBCA Amino strawberry and kiwi drink and water.
Fun fact, I prefer yogurts with a plastic spoon πŸ˜‚

Snack time 4:20pm I had a coffee and Kelloggs special K Belgian chocolate cereal bar.

7:30pm we sat down to dinner which was Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers in a wholemeal bun with light burger cheese and homemade potato chips.

For pudding I had a birthday cake Fab ice lolly, they don't taste much different to the original, but are still super yummy.

Hey meal plan Monday goers, let me start by saying hi, if your new welcome! But this week was bad, well I felt like a piggy ONIK OINK.

Was a chip shop dinner day, the usual sausage in batter with a huge portion of chips smothered in salt and onion vinegar. 

Quorn southern fried chicken burgers and Asda seasoned french fires. This is what I originally planned to cook on Monday but, Matt came home late which then makes me feel like 'meh, cannot be bothered to cook' so OBVIOUSLY we has it Tuesday. 

Was a sunny day so of course we had some good old 'pub grub.' We started with chicken in a basket which contained, popcorn chicken, chicken goujons, chicken wings and garlic bread. For main I had hunters chicken with chips, that gave be bad indigestion (I sound like my mum) nothing against the place, they were just too thickly cut for me. Matt had lasagne with chips on the side.

Again I just could not be bothered to cook, so Matt grabbed a Tesco counter pizza with garlic bread.

...Yup you guessed it, AGAIN did not cook. This time we had McDonalds 🐷

I did actually make the effort to cook, we ha chicken in a bag, Italian seasoning, with firecracker rice.

Probably the hottest day of the year (so far, and probably end of) we had the first BBQ of the year at our friends house. The usual, sausages, burgers and chicken. It was TASTY. 

I've started home workouts after a week off the gym, and seeing as I can't get down there till next week when the kids are back to school, home ones will have to do! ESPECIALLY after a week like that!

Today I'm throwing it back to the time we had a woodland adventure at Wendover Woods and how funny that it just so happens to be a year ago today that I uploaded that vlog!
It's actually on my mind because we are revisiting there next week 😊
It is such a beautiful place and this time my camera can join us πŸ˜‰ fingers crossed this beautiful weather we have been having holds out for us, if not, pleaseeeee just don't rain!

It's the start of the easter holidays here for us, so as it was nice and sunny we visited a park/woodland area we haven't been to for a VERY long time. It's called Cassiobury Park in Watford. 
(my town of work hehe)
As we haven't been here in a while I didn't really know what to expect/bring, but next time we will be more prepared e.g scooters, ball and knowing now where all the nice places for pictures are. 
Still, I did manage to get some nice pics and the kids did enjoy themselves which is all that really matters.
We did see 3 helicopters land whilst eating lunch πŸ˜ƒ which was pretty exciting, or awesome as Ella and Harley put it. You can see all that in the Daily Vlog here...
